Three-Fifths Of Classic GUNS N' ROSES Lineup Reunited At Hollywood Gig
September 23, 2003Three-fifths of the classic GUNS N' ROSES lineup reunited on stage Sunday night (September 21) at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. The occasion was a concert by SUKI JONES, a band made up of original GNR drummer Steven Adler, Brent Muscat of FASTER PUSSYCAT and assorted former RATT members.
Towards the end of the set, the Gunners guitar duo of Slash and Izzy Stradlin jumped on stage to play "Mr. Brownstone", "Paradise City", and "Knockin' On Heaven's Door". This is the first time that the three GUNS N' ROSES members performed together since appearing at Farm Aid on April 7, 1990.
"It was great to share the stage with Steven, Slash and Izzy again," said Brent Muscat after the show. "I haven't played with those guys together since my band FASTER PUSSYCAT toured Europe with them in 1987.
"Once those guys hit the stage the crowd went nuts, I think they were truly surprised and everyone had a great time," Muscat added. "This was just an example of how huge an original GUNS N' ROSES reunion could be if Axl [Rose] put his ego aside and stopped fooling around."
